Bocote - $20 (each)
Originates from Mexico and South/Central America. With its striking, zebra-like contrasts, and bold figuring, Bocote can be a very eye-catching wood.
Walnut and Cherry - $20 (each)
Harvested from my grandfather's farm in Kansas, these non-exotic wood may sometimes contain interesting figuration such as curls and knots
Cocobolo - $20
Originating from Central America, Cocobolo can be seen in a kaleidoscope of different colors, ranging from yellow, orange, red, and shades of brown with streaks of black or purple. It is also known as one of today’s most prized lumbers for its outstanding color and figure
Gaboon Ebony - $20
A very exotic wood, typically found in West Africa. Heartwood is usually jet-black, with little to no variation or visible grain. Occasionally dark brown or grayish-brown streaks may be present.
Verawood (Lignum Vitae) $20

Heartwood color can range from a pale yellowish olive, to a deeper forest green or dark brown to almost black. Grain has a unique feathered pattern when viewed up close.

Osage Orange (Hedge) - $20
A local wood sometimes also known as Hedge. Though it may produce pesky "horse apples" the wood always contains a bright hue ranging from yellow to orange.
Maple - $20
A local wood that isn't just used for making syrup. It's sapwood color ranges from nearly white, to an off-white cream color that works well as an accent with other woods.
Purpleheart - $20
Originating from Central and South America, Purpleheart is a beautiful wood that produces a wide range of shades of purple. When freshly cut the heartwood of Purpleheart is a dull grayish/purplish brown. Upon exposure the wood becomes a deeper purple.
Yellowheart - $20
Originating in Brazil, Yellowheart's color ranges from pale to golden yellow, darkening slightly with age. Though many other species of wood can be yellow colored, perhaps few are so consistent and vibrant as Yellowheart. (Yellowheart is also sometimes sold as “Brazilian Satinwood.”)
Zebrawood - $20
Originating in West Africa, Zebrawood's heartwood is a light brown or cream color with dark blackish brown streaks vaguely resembling a zebra’s stripes.
